Before venturing into the culinary world, Greta Schwartz was a professional actor in NYC. She graduated high school from Florida School of the Arts and received a BA in Musical theatre from Catawba College. From there she began working in professional regional theatres, Off Broadway, film and television. After experiencing the cutting edge cuisine in NYC, Greta became obsessed with learning about food and decided to go to the New York Restaurant School, where she graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. She worked in some of New York’s hottest restaurants before relocating to South Jersey.


After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY and apprenticing in pastries and baking under Culinary Olympic gold medal winner Gunther Heiland Jeff continued his culinary journey working with Intercontinental Hotels around the nation. Before opening Red Sky Cafe, Jeff owned other successful restaurants in South Jersey as well earning a teaching certificate in culinary arts.  Along with a couple other chefs and food writer Eddie Hitzel, Jeff founded and is past president of the Epicurean Society of Southern New Jersey, an organization of culinarians and educators that promote independent restaurants. Jeff is a member of Star Lodge # 65 and is a 32nd degree Freemason as well as Knights Templar. In between injuries Jeff continues to study and practice freestyle martial arts while earning black belts under the direction of Sensei John McCray over the last 20 plus years.
